Trans Life Ambulance uses an extensive state of the art communications network involved with the dispatching of calls to the ambulance units which includes the use of a two-way digital radio system, cell phones, computer aided dispatch (CAD) software, and real-time vehicle tracking GPS system. CAD-Command from TIS gives Trans Life's dispatchers the tools they need to deliver on-time service and optimize vehicle utilization while Fleet-Command aids them to make the right decisions in vehicle assignment and minimizing unnecessary cross town vehicle deployment.
After receiving care from Trans Life Ambulance, a patient will receive a billing statement for services provided. The bill will provide an itemization of the services provided and fees charged. The fees billed are those mandated by the rate schedules set by the County of Los Angeles or City of Los Angeles based upon the point of origin of the ambulance transport.
Trans Life Operations
Trans Life Ambulance provides Basic Life Support (BLS) and Respiratory Transport (RT) ambulance services 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Our ambulance fleet is all model year 2008 or newer, equipped with the latest high quality medical devices and equipment, including Stryker gurneys, to insure the best care for our patients, and safest, most appropriate responses and transports.
